Day 1: Arrival - Explore the Tea Gardens with a Tea Tour & Short Trip to Andretta
As you step onto the sacred grounds of the Wah Tea Estate, you will feel like entering a different dimension. Your next destination will be the processing unit or factory, where tea leaves undergo a mesmerizing metamorphosis- Withering, rolling, oxidation, drying & sorting. Day 2 : Explore Dharamshala & McLeod Ganj
You will be picked up in the morning for a tour of Dharamshala with your guide cum driver for the day. Drive for 1 hour to reach the Norbulingka Institute in Dharamshala. This institute is a Center for Tibetan Arts and Culture. Norbulingka embodies all the old- world charm of Tibetan architecture and has been modeled and named after the Dalai Lama’s summer palace near Lhasa. Walk around to see the different workshops like metallurgy and woodwork, and definitely spend some time in the Doll museum, which gives a lot of information about Tibetan history. Later drive for 45 minutes to reach St. John’s Church in the Wilderness, which was built in 1852. Set amidst deodar forest, and built in neo-Gothic architecture, the church is known for its Belgian stained-glass windows donated by Lady Elgin (Mary Louisa Lambton), wife of Lord Elgin. Simple yet lovely, the church also has a beautifully peaceful cemetery.
You can have your lunch at one of the numerous restaurants at The Mall Road of McLeod Ganj and wander around the quaint Walking Street leading up to the Dalai Lama Monastery and visit the main monastery. Next explore the nearby Mcloed Ganj Market that is famous for Tibetan handicrafts. You can also walk out to the Waterfall from the temple of Bhagsunag. Day 3 : Toy Train ride to Baijnath and Bir Billing
You can take a ride in one of five single gauge trains in India, The Kangra Toy Train. It inspires the dreamers and the believers, shows you a part of the area that doesn’t make its way to those guidebooks and presents natural beauty at its dazzling best.

Visit Bir-Billing, referred to as the “Paragliding Capital of India”, Bir is one of the renowned centres for ecotourism, adventure sports, spiritual studies, and meditation. Day 4 : Explore the Unexplored Gem - Masroor Rock Cut Temples & Cliffy cafe
After driving for 2.5 hours you will reach Masroor Rock Cut Temples.These remarkable temples are not only an architectural marvel but also a testament to the artistic ingenuity of the people who carved them from solid rock. These are believed to have been built by the Pandavas while they were travelling through these mountains; historically, these are said to be from the 7th and 8th centuries. Also, it is said that it must have likely been built by the Katoch Dynasty, although the information available is very limited.
These temples are true architectural wonders, and have been intricately carved. These are adorned with incredibly detailed sculptures portraying a variety of deities, including Surya, Shiva, Indra, Kartikeya, and you will find numerous goddess forms too.
Carved out of a monolithic rock, the Masroor Rock Cut Temples, much of the temple’s structure has been damaged. While exploring the temples, one can't help but be transported back in time, imagining the rituals and ceremonies that once took place within these hallowed walls once. The ambiance is serene, with the surrounding hills providing a picturesque backdrop, adding to the spiritual aura of the site.
Despite their historical significance and architectural brilliance, Masroor's rock-cut temples remain relatively undiscovered on the tourist map. This adds to their charm, providing an authentic and unspoiled experience for those who venture to explore this hidden gem.
After returning back to Palampur,driving through the picturesque village of Bundla, just a little north of Palampur, lies the Cliffy Cafe.
