Day 1:  Arrival - Explore the Tea Gardens with a Tea Tour & Short Trip to Andretta

As you step onto the sacred grounds of the Wah Tea Estate, you will feel like entering a different dimension. The tea gardens, meticulously terraced and flawlessly maintained, stretch as far as your eyes can behold. The Tea Tour at Wah begins by knowing the  manufacturing process and tasting methods. If you are lucky you may spot tea pluckers, who are adept at plucking only the two leaves and a bud – Here, tea leaves were plucked with precision, destined for the transformation into the famed Kangra tea - renowned for its delicate flavour and intoxicating aroma. Guests can also try their hand at plucking the tea!
Your next destination will be the processing unit or factory, where tea leaves undergo a mesmerizing metamorphosis- Withering, rolling, oxidation, drying & sorting. Your Tea Tour will end at the Tea Room overlooking the gardens. You can learn how to taste different varieties of teas. An array of exotic teas awaiting for you - mint green, earl grey, and rose, each a masterpiece in its own.

Day 2 :  Explore Dharamshala & McLeod Ganj

You will be picked up in the morning for a tour of Dharamshala with your guide cum driver for the day. Drive for 1 hour to reach the Norbulingka Institute in Dharamshala. This institute is a Center for Tibetan Arts and Culture. Norbulingka embodies all the old- world charm of Tibetan architecture and has been modeled and named after the Dalai Lama’s summer palace near Lhasa. Walk around to see the different workshops like metallurgy and woodwork, and definitely spend some time in the Doll museum, which gives a lot of information about Tibetan history. Later drive for 45 minutes to reach St. John’s Church in the Wilderness, which was built in 1852. Set amidst deodar forest, and built in neo-Gothic architecture, the church is known for its Belgian stained-glass windows donated by Lady Elgin (Mary Louisa Lambton), wife of Lord Elgin. Simple yet lovely, the church also has a beautifully peaceful cemetery.

You can have your lunch at one of the numerous restaurants at The Mall Road of McLeod Ganj and  wander around the quaint Walking Street leading up to the Dalai Lama Monastery and visit the main monastery. Next explore the nearby Mcloed Ganj Market that is famous for Tibetan handicrafts.  You can also walk out to the Waterfall from the temple of Bhagsunag. In the evening return back to The Lodge at Wah Tea Estate Palampur for night stay.

Day 3  : Toy Train ride to Baijnath and Bir Billing

You can take a ride in one of five single gauge trains in India, The Kangra Toy Train. It inspires the dreamers and the believers, shows you a part of the area that doesn’t make its way to those guidebooks and presents natural beauty at its dazzling best.
Our cab will pick you from Baijnath / Paprola Station. Visit  Bir-Billing, referred to as the “Paragliding Capital of India”, Bir is one of the renowned centres for ecotourism, adventure sports, spiritual studies, and meditation. While Billing is the takeoff site for paragliding, the hamlet of Bir is the site for landing. It is a haven for adventure junkies and here you can have an exhilarating experience of paragliding. Enjoy the 360° panoramic view of the Dhauladhar Range of the Indian Himalayas from a phenomenal height while enjoying this aero sport. This is undoubtedly one of the best things to do in Palampur. You can also  visit Palpung Sherabling Monastic Seat situated in the foothills of Kangra Valley in Upper Bhattu region. A quiet walk through the pine forest with colourful Buddhist prayer flags on the sides of the road takes you to the gompa.

Our next point in the itinerary is Baijnath Shiv Temple, this magnificent temple is one of the top tourist spots among tourists and devotees who come here to seek the divine blessings of Lord Shiva, who is worshipped as the 'God of Healing'. It is believed that the water of this temple has medicinal value and has the potential to cure several illnesses and diseases. Besides, the unique architectural design of the temple bears resemblance to the Jagannath Temple in Puri.

Day 4 :  Explore the Unexplored Gem - Masroor Rock Cut Temples & Cliffy cafe

After driving for 2.5 hours you will reach Masroor Rock Cut Temples.These remarkable temples are not only an architectural marvel but also a testament to the artistic ingenuity of the people who carved them from solid rock. These are believed to have been built by the Pandavas while they were travelling through these mountains; historically, these are said to be from the 7th and 8th centuries. Also, it is said that it must have likely been built by the Katoch Dynasty, although the information available is very limited.
These temples are true architectural wonders, and have been intricately carved. These are adorned with incredibly detailed sculptures portraying a variety of deities, including Surya, Shiva, Indra, Kartikeya, and you will find numerous goddess forms too.

Carved out of a monolithic rock, the Masroor Rock Cut Temples, much of the temple’s structure has been damaged. While exploring the temples, one can't help but be transported back in time, imagining the rituals and ceremonies that once took place within these hallowed walls once. The ambiance is serene, with the surrounding hills providing a picturesque backdrop, adding to the spiritual aura of the site.
Despite their historical significance and architectural brilliance, Masroor's rock-cut temples remain relatively undiscovered on the tourist map. This adds to their charm, providing an authentic and unspoiled experience for those who venture to explore this hidden gem.

After returning back to Palampur,driving through the picturesque village of Bundla, just a little north of Palampur, lies the Cliffy Cafe. A delightful spot perfect for grabbing a coffee, diving into a good book, or enjoying some board games. With its inviting indoor and outdoor seating, Cliffy Cafe cafe offers a serene escape and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. They serve South Indian cuisine, making it a must-visit for food lovers. Day 5: Return Journey
Say good morning to the last day of your stay in The Lodge at Wah, Palampur. Begin it on a delicious note with a sumptuous breakfast and after check out we will drop you at Gaggal (Dharamshala) Airport or Amb Railway Station. If you wish we can also arrange drop at Pathankot or Una Railway Station for your return journey.


Optional Tour : A day full of adventour with Jeep Safari to Old Vindyavasini Temple

Start your day with a visit to the Hill Godess Temple also known as Old Vindyavasini Mandir by locals.

On this day as we will move ahead and start moving ascending, the thrill and adventure proportion eventually enhances.As your vehicle drives through the Dhauladhar Mountain, it is like a roller coaster that excites you at every turn, pumps your adrenaline, but satisfies your need for adventure in every way, leaving you in it’s awe. As you drive deeper into the rugged mountains, the Neugal River valley unfolds itself with vibrant Pine & Cedar Tress, snow clad mountains, small hamlets, glittery Neugal River and the views that were only on your Instagram feed.

On reaching temple of Hill Godess, seek divine blessings and spend your forenoon there. Later in the afternoon we will drive back. Later visit Neugal cafe & Saurabh Van Vihar.The Saurabh Van Vihar is a nature park that has been built in dedication of the brave and valiant soldier Saurabh Kalia, who was a martyr in the Kargil War. An ideal spot for the nature lover in you, this beautiful and scenic tourist attraction is located on the banks of the snow-fed Neugel Khad. An overall great place to holiday with your family, the park features lush gardens for taking a leisurely stroll in the pollution free environs. Moreover, there is a small lake and you can go boating there!
